Saltie in the Adelaide River

A massive saltie / estuarine crocodile (Crocodylus porosus) in the Adelaide River on a cloudy day. There are few animals that truly look unreal to me, and large crocs are definitely one of them. The estuarine crocodile has the greatest bite force of any land animal and is the largest reptile that still walks the planet, capable of reaching over six meters in length. They are a minority of apex predators that commonly perceive humans as prey.
